Welcome to Fairwood! The newest planned community located in Bowie , Maryland in Prince George 's County. The community developer, The Rouse Company, offers several unique concepts which have been incorporated into the project's design. Fairwood includes a broad mix of semi-custom homes, single family homes, townhomes and condominiums from top area homebuilders. The ultimate goal is to create a strong sense of community for the 1,800 families who will eventually call Fairwood "home."

With more then 35% of community green space available, Fairwood offers its residents parks, path, tot lots, and retail center coming soon. Designed as a gathering place for Fairwood residents, The Sycamore Club contains a regulation-size swimming pool, baby pool, pool house, volleyball court and a 99-person-capacity meeting room suitable for everything from family gatherings to community meetings. Situated under the signature sycamore tree, which is familiar to all Fairwood residents, are two new tennis courts. The complex's hard courts will be hubs of athletic activity for tennis enthusiasts of all ages at Fairwood

The quarterly newspaper, " Fairwood ," is the official source for community news and information for the residents of the Fairwood community. Fairwood debuted in September 2003 and over 500 copies are currently distributed among the residents and " Model Home Park " within the community. It is anticipated at build out; over 2,000 copies of Fairwood will be distributed for reader enjoyment.
